MDF is hardwood that has been compressed and then mixed with resin. It is a hard, durable wood-based material that can be used for many purposes, such as furniture, cabinetry, or even as an alternative to hardwood flooring. MDF board is often found in stores because it's low cost and easy to use. The downside of using this type of mdf wood is the fact that it does not take well to heat so you should avoid placing any direct heat sources on top of your table made from MDF composite materials if possible.

Pâté de campagne auvergnat - Recipe with Chicken Liver, Pork and Bacon: Traditional Pate Campagnarde from Auvergne Region France.
Pâté de campagne auvergnat - Recipe with Chicken Liver, Pork and Bacon: Traditional Pate Campagnarde from Auvergne Region France. With this traditional recipe you'll have a hard time finding another dish just like it in all of the world! (If you're up to it, why not try other recipes as well?)
The All-Meat patty is based on a blend of white and red meats originating from the Auvergne region in France. The dish is also called pâté campagnarde or simply paté de campagne, which means "country loaf".
- 700 grams of pork fillet without rind
- 350 grams of bacon (cut into small cubes)
- 500 grams raw chicken liver - hard boiled eggs as desired for decoration purposes only!
- 15 ml olive oil
- 300 g coarsely chopped onions - finely diced garlic cloves to taste ... but not too much – salt & black pepper seasoning to taste... You can even add some cayenne pepper if you want it spicy.
- 350 grams peeled hard boiled eggs
- 500 ml beef or veal stock - as little water possible. If you want to thicken the pâté, use some good quality corn starch and mix it with a bit of cold water before adding them in.
If using fresh hard boiled eggs, peel and chop very finely by hand for decoration purposes only! Cook onions and garlic cloves in olive oil over low heat until they are translucent. Add salt & pepper seasoning if desired. In another bowl place meat from pork fillet without rinds or bacon cubes which have been cut into small pieces but not too tiny... flavour with a pinch of cayenne pepper if desired. Add hard boiled eggs chopped into small pieces, stock and mix well. Transfer meat mixture to a large bowl or cooking pot then add the onion-garlic mixture from before stirring it in evenly with your hands - just like making bread dough!
Pâté de campagne auvergnat is typically served at room temperature on slices of French bread as hors d'oeuvres (a type of appetizer) but also makes for an excellent main dish accompanied by salad leaves and fresh fruit such as apples. Bon Appétit!!!
An easy way to understand what mdf wood composite material means, take this example: A few years ago when I needed some shelving for my garage, I went over to the hardware store and found some nice looking shelves made of MDF hardwood. They seemed like a steal at $20 so I bought two sets since they were on sale that day!
After unpacking these shelves from their styrofoam packaging you could tell right away by the weight how much is filler material in this product but even more obvious when you started trying to put it together.
This type of hardwood option can be manufactured into almost any shape or size which means it's not only cost effective but environmentally friendly as well - Which makes sense for a hardwood product which is made from both hard and soft wood.
MDF composite material includes particles of hardwoods bonded with synthetic resin, usually fiberglass or the like - so it has an appearance similar to a hardwood but without some of the disadvantages that exist in more traditional products such as: warping over time, shrinking when drying out, cracking after being exposed to excessive moisture or not absorbing paint well... These are just some reasons why mdf boards have been banned in America!
